RITA is currently developing strategies that will drive growth in the rowing economy, ensure safer operations in the rowing community, and support the efforts of others in the rowing world working towards a more inclusive and diverse sport.

We’re hoping that every member (and prospective member) will join us in Boston, October 21 for our Annual Meeting.  We will be reviewing and approving a Strategic Plan that will outline how RITA will make an impact over the coming years.

RITA has identified a growing list of potential projects that benefit our membership and serve our mission:

  • Establishing partnerships that lead to stronger safety policies across the sport.
  • Building a resource library and list of contacts for new rowing programs.
  • Creating opportunities for deeper engagement between the various disciplines in rowing (indoor, coastal, recreational, competitive and elite).
  • RITA Grant Program:  Focusing employee giving across the industry to support DEI focused programs across the country.
  • Learn to Row – Promotion and Best Practices through RITA
  • Vendor & Regatta LOC Engagement:
    • Creation of a ‘Regatta Vendor Guide’
      • Events
      • Fees/cost
      • Vendor expectations
  • Boat Weight Standards
  • FISA/USRowing Liaisons
